Fats, oils and greases are becoming the number one problem in sewage networks and there are increasing regulations for processing companies to treat this issue before discharge. The Greasebuster Fat and Oil Skimmer innovates the process of fat and oil removal from waste water tanks and systems.
Placed directly into the tank, the simple technology allows for effective removal of oils from the surface of the water using an intelligent hydrophobic belt. This belt works continuously to lift fats, oils and grease from the waste water whilst rejecting water.
These fats and oils are then automatically scrapped off by a wiper blade and can be deposited into an IBC or other suitable container for onward treatment, disposal, or waste recovery.
As the fats are pulled out from the tank and water is rejected, there is a high quality of waste product which can often be recovered and recycled.
